PINS/ROUTER [Precision Nesting Systems, Inc.]

PINS/ROUTER is a fully automatic, true-shape nesting system thatincorporates special routines to accommodate multiple router heads,drilling operations, cutter compensation, tool travel limitations, grainconstraints, and the multiple-sheet stacks of materials common to metaland wood routing environments. A unique PINS/ROUTER algorithm, WRIT(Waste Rivet Insertion Technique), automatically identifies areas in thenest suitable for placement of rivets or screws used to hold downmultiple sheets of material. MC code (machine control data), optimized toreduce tool head travel and improve machine tool throughput, is producedautomatically by the PINS/ROUTER system.Optional software for the PINS/ROUTER system includes PBOM, a specialbill of material system that tracks any excess parts produced in themultiple layers and automatically adjusts future part production.Additional options include native-mode CAD interfaces for directretrieval of part shapes; IGES and DXF graphics translators; inventoryand remnant control software; post-processors; NC tape translationcapability; MRP and DNC interfaces; plotter, label, and marking support;and custom integration services.
